Tomatillo-Salsa


A hearty Mexican salsa



INGREDIENTS

avocado

tomatillos (small green tomatoes, available in big supermarkets)

salt

cayenne pepper

lime juice

1/2

cup fresh cilantro, chopped

tortilla chips


PREPARATION

Peel the tomatillos out of the papery husk and cut them in pieces. Stone the avocado an cut it also in pieces. Season with salt, cayennepepper and a little bit of lime juice. Mix everything in the blender until it's smooth.

Chop the cilantro and add it to the salsa. Mix it again with a fork.

Serve the tomatillo salsa with tortilla chips as an aperitif.

Goes best with:
Mexican beer.

Our special hint:
Tomatillo salsa tastes also excellent with burritos or tacos.
You can keep the tomatillo salsa for two days in the refrigerator.
