Bacon Wrapped Dates

This recipe is strongly suspected of being addictive!





thin smoked bacon slices


Stone the dates and cut the bacon slices in halves.

Wrap the dates with the bacon and fix them with half a toothpick. Heat a frying pan and fry the wrapped dates on all sides until the bacon turns crispy and is lightly brown.

Serve hot as finger food.

Our wine suggestion:
A glass of tangy, chilly rosé wine or a glass of chilly Gewürztraminer.

Our special hint:
Just as addictive are bacon wrapped fresh fig halves. Simply wrap the figs and a small sage leaf in bacon and fry until crispy.
